The Top 10 features in iOS 5 include:

  • iMessage
  • PC Free
  • Photos
  • Safari
  • Game Center

Notification Center
Everybody had been asking for better UI in notifications for iOS. In return to your requests, Apple has introduced a new Notifications Center. Just swipe down from the top of any screen to enter Notification Center which displays all of your recent notification with a very nice design.

Many people have been jailbreaking their devices for some features including lock screen notifications. iOS 5 now includes lock screen notifications and you just swipe the app icon to go into that application. And notifications also line up nicely now. It's just getting simpler!

Another feature was that Apple improved the graphics of push notifications. Now notifications don't interrupt you when you are playing a game or doing some work. I most wanted feature!

Newsstand
A new app which holds all of your Newspaper and Magazine subscriptions. There’s also a new place on the App Store just for newspaper and magazine subscriptions. Newsstand automatically downloads all the new issues of the magazines and newspapers.

Remindersimage
This new app included in iOS5 helps you to note down reminders and it will automatically remind you of it at a specific time, or an excited feature that is location reminders. You can set a reminder like “Call my mother when I get out of  the market” and whenever you get out of the market, it will automatically remind you to call your mother via GPS. Really awesome!

With iMessage, you can send unlimited text messages with photos or videos to all iPads, iPod Touches and iPhones!
And iMessage syncs wirelessly via all of your iOS devices.

At last. The iPad is now really a Post-PC device!
Now when you buy an iDevice from the Apple Store, and turn it on right away, you will now not see that annoying connect to iTunes screen. Instead, you will see a setup screen.
Now updates are also Over the Air. PC Free to the win!

Meet your match with new friend recommendations based on the games you play and the players you already know. Discover new games without leaving Game Center. And size up an opponent on the spot with new overall achievement scores.
