The new Apple Mac Mini

imageAt last they are here! The new MacBook Air, the new Mac Mini and the Cinema Displays (Now known as Thunderbolt Displays) and the daddy of all, Mac OS X Lion! I was really excited about Mac OS X Lion specially I would say, the new fascinating features of Mac OS X Lion!

image There is a lot to be said about the Mac Minis. First of all the first thing you will notice that the Mac Mini no longer ships with the optical drive. So you might be wondering how to reinstall Mac OS on it if you want to? The Mac Mini now comes with a software partition in it’s hard drive for all the goodness. So you are wondering do we need to get the Mac OS X Lion upgrade to it for $29.99? The Mac Mini ships with Mac OS X Lion preinstalled fortunately.

Also included in the hardware is a new Display/Thunderbolt port which supports Thunderbolt Display and Thunderbolt enabled hard drives for your Mac. Now it also comes with second generation Core processors and the Core i5 processors stars the show in the baseline models which you can configure as 2.3 or 2.5Ghz dual-core processor and you can also get a Core i7 processor clocked at 2.7Ghz. With turbo boost, the Mac Mini can be clocked up to 3.4Ghz while using intensive applications.

The 2.5 Ghz Mac Mini features an AMD Radeon HD graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR5 memory for graphics and the 2.3GHz Mac Mini comes with an Intel HD Graphics processor for all the graphics processing.
It’s actually very easy to upgrade the RAM in your Mac Mini. It now includes a removable and user accessible panel which reveals all the components of the Mac Mini like wireless antenna and all that goodness and the RAM sticks which are very easy to replace.
