Comparison between the Samsung Galaxy S3 (left) and Samsung Galaxy S2 (right)
The new Samsung Galaxy S3 has rounded edges and a oval design unlike the Samsung Galaxy S2 which has a rectangle design. It is available in two colours - marble white and pebble blue.

The large gorgeous 1280 x 720 pixels Super AMOLED screen makes images and text pop out. The hardware home button is now a little bit smaller than the S2 because the screen has taken most of the space.

The OS
The phone included Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.4) OS with a flavour of Samsung Touchwiz on top of it which makes a few changes to the design of the icons and the app list which makes it a little better to navigate and use the phone.

Specs
With a Exynos 1.4GHz Quad-core processor and a 8 MP rear camera that records at 1080p and a front-facing camera that records at 720p and is 1.9 MP, the phone is a rocker and can rival any high-tech smartphone and give superior performance and multitasking.

Features:

Samsung S Beam: Android Beam allows two S3s to share data between each other with NFC technology upto 1GB without any WiFi connection. All you need to do is just put the back of the phones together and NFC does all the magic. You can share documents, contacts, pictures, music, videos, etc.

AllShare Play: This is what most of the Android phones have, this feature uses the DLNA and WiFi-direct technology allowing you to share multimedia and files temporary. You can use it to stream videos to a DLNA-compatible TV set or view files on your computer and other goodness.

Smart Stay: It has got technology which keeps the screen lit up when you are looking at it so if you reading something or doing some video chat, the screen won't dim and maintain a comfortable viewing pleasure.

Best Photo: The phone has the capability to take upto 20 burst shots and lets you choose the best photos to save.

S Voice: The phone has also got something to rival the iPhone 4S's Siri, it has got an app called S Voice, which responds to your voice commands.

Pop Up Play: It is a kind of multitasking which enables you to do multiple things at the same time in different windows on the screen and resize each window. You can watch a video while texting using this feature. It makes full use of the phones powerful quad-core processor and its 2GB RAM through this.
Direct Call: This is an innovative feature by Samsung which enables you to call a person while texting by just lifting the phone to the ear and the phone will automatically dial the number.

Overview
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a great innovation and an evolution from the Samsung Galaxy S2, sporting great looks and features which makes it a must buy for people looking for an Android version of the iPhone that just works, but the price tag might be a deal breaker, but what you are getting for the price is in fact a deal maker. I would recommend the Samsung Galaxy S3 for anyone seeking a high-quality luxurious smartphone that really stands up.
